Managing research data as a junior scientist
Description
This one-day workshop will help you improve your skills in everyday and long-term data management, including data organization, storage, sharing and, of course, the FAIR principles. You will plan the different aspects of your project’s data management through the drafting of a Data Management Plan (DMP) following the SNSF’s template.
At the end of this module, you will be able to:
- Apply good practices for the organization and naming of files
- Value the importance of metadata
- Apply good practices for the storage of your research data with tools available at UNIGE
- Value the advantages of depositing your research data in a repository and how to choose one according to your project’s needs
- Drafting a Data Management Plan (DMP) following the SNSF template
