Procedure

1. Research your desired program
   • You can contact the academic advisors (FR) of the chosen faculty/institute/centre to get information about the study programs.
   • See the page for non-maturité holders from the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences (FR).
   • You can also contact the NPM office (in French) to help you work out your project.
2. Check that you meet the enrollment requirements
   • See who can apply for the enrollment procedure as a NPM.
   • You can register for certain courses as an "auditeur ou auditrice libre (FR)" (unregistered student) to try out the study program.
   • Check if you need to pass a french exam and see the conditions of the exam.
3. Apply for enrollment
   1. Put together your application through the NPM form, available from March 1 to November 30, with all required documents.
   2. Contact the NPM office (in French) to pay the CHF 65 registration fee.
      • If you hold a Swiss "attestation de scolarité" (school certificate), you do not pay the CHF 65.
   3. Send your file from March 1 to November 30 by post to the NPM office. You must also send a copy by e-mail.

      • You can contact the NPM guidance counselors (in French) to help you put together your enrollment application.
4. Wait for the answer

• If you meet the enrollment requirements, your application will be submitted to the faculty/institute/centre. They will invite you for an interview or exam.
• If you do not meet the enrollment requirements, you will be informed by registered mail.

Important:

• You can not require a change of faculty once enrolled.
• For medical and pharmaceutical studies, you must hold a maturité certificate, there are no exceptions.

"Maturité spécialisée orientation pédagogie"

If you hold a maturité certificate "Maturité spécialisée orientation pédagogie" (specialized maturité in education), awarded by a Swiss educational institution, you can be admitted directly to the Bachelor of Science in Educational Sciences (according to article 55 § 4 of the University Statute (FR)).

Important: This admission is only possible for this degree. It does not grant access to any other program.

After this procedure, you will be enrolled as non-maturité holder. You will not have to take the admission interview.

  • Put together your application through the dedicated form (specialized maturité in education) with all required documents.
  • Send your file from March 1 to November 30 by post to the NPM office.
