Health access support

Health support is financial assistance for UNIGE and HES-SO Geneva students. It is an emergency assistance. It covers part of the healthcare costs your health insurance does not pay. It aims to help you access certain types of care (for example: psychological consultations, specialized assessments and follow-up).

Types of support available

For UNIGE students

For HES-SO Geneva students

  • HES-SO Espace Santé (Geneva Health Center): we cover consultations with external healthcare professionals, made on the recommendation of the HES Health Center. Maximum coverage: the amount of your health insurance deductible.
  • Specialized assessments: up to CHF 500 for specialized assessments carried out by our faculties and institutes (e.g. speech therapy assessment).
Who can apply for healthcare support?

For all other requests, contact the desired health service for an assessment. Depending on your situation, this may include:

Important: if you have already applied for financial assistance for the same academic year, the form may no longer be available. In this case, please write to us at: aides-financieres(at)unige.ch.

Important:

  • If you have already had a specialized assessment (speech therapy, functional assessment, etc.), you can still apply for financial assistance. We may be able to help you, depending on your situation and the funds available. However, applying after the assessment does not guarantee that you will receive assistance.
  • If you would like to know in advance whether you are eligible for financial support, please send us a quote.
