Health access support

The Financial Aid Service walk-in hours are open at the Campus Life information point on Wednesdays 10am to 12pm and Thursdays 2pm to 4pm (closed on May 1st and 29th).

A debt-relief service is also available at Campus Life information point, on the last Wednesday of each month from 10am to 12pm.

Health access support aims to help UNIGE and HES-SO Geneva students access essential health services at reduced rates. This support includes psychological and speech therapy consultations, as well as general health services, to ensure the well-being of students during their studies.

Criteria for submitting an application
  • Be enrolled at UNIGE or HES-SO Geneva;
  • Prove the need for consultations for health reasons with an assessment;
  • For HES-SO Geneva students:
    • For consultations external to the HES Health Space:
      • Prove the need for consultations for health reasons with a check-up with the Health Space beforehand,
      • Have a 2'500 CHF LAMal deductible,
    • For speech therapies with the UNIGE Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences:

Students must contact the relevant health services to carry out an assessment and determine if consultations are recommended:

If so, the service will evaluate the request based on each individual’s financial situation. Currently, speech therapy is the only one for which a request must be made directly via the online form.

Steps to submit an application
  1. Complete the online form (choose "aide ponctuelle" and "soutien accès santé");
  2. Attach all mandatory documents;
  3. Submit the complete file online.

It is the student’s responsibility to submit a complete file within the deadlines. In case of difficulties in obtaining documents, filling out the form, or for general questions, please contact our service by phone, email or during our walk-in hours. The submission of an application does not guarantee its granting, each file is evaluated on the basis of numerous criteria.
