Description
Great planning makes the revisions easier. Find ways to adopt a realistic planning that links your academic, extra-curricular (family, job…) obligations, social and leisure activities while saving time. Having things under control helps feeling calmer. Multiple time management tools will be given based on everybody’s needs.

Fight procrastination
- Are you always putting off until tomorrow?

Description
Procrastination can lead to serious difficulties, given that the work quality drastically lessens when the time available is not sufficient to deep learn. By taking part in this workshop, you will learn how to identify the causes of your procrastination and find strategies to overcome them.

Review and understand note-taking
- Questioning the importance and utility of note-taking?
- Feeling uncertain how to take notes?
- Don’t know how to identify key ideas in your lessons?
Description
Note-taking is an essential part in learning; it forces you to adopt an active attitude during your lessons. It is based on an effective preparation (before the lesson), attention and concentration while listening, as well as elaborating on the notes you have taken.
Take part in this workshop and explore different note-taking methods for you to create effective, organized, precise and relevant materials.

Read and proofread effectively
- How to prepare/start a reading?
- How to identify key ideas in these?

Description
Reading is an essential step in your lessons as it allows you to acquire knowledge on different points of view, perspectives and precision levels. Readings can be mandatory or optional. It is necessary to adopt reading strategies that are adapted to what is asked. Throughout this workshop, methods will be offered to identify key ideas in a text and summing them up while incorporating them into course material (for instance notes).

Generative AI (GenAI) (i.e. ChatGPT) for my studies: good, bad idea?
- How can GenAI help me during my studies?
- For what tasks is GenAI relevant?
- How to consider what the AI gives me?
Description
By formulating relevant requests, GenAI can help you collect specific information on a subject; generate ideas and content; get feedback and auto-evaluation. Therefore, GenAI can be a precious tool. Generated answers must nonetheless be thoroughly evaluated and verified. Critical analysis is a key skill when it comes to using GenAI as it can create “hallucinations” (incorrect, irrelevant or off-the-wall answers).
This workshop discusses the use of GenAI based on concrete examples and areas where vigilance is required, such as plagiarism and digital integrity.
Please remember that the use of any AI during your studies remains under the approbation of your professor.

Prepare and pass your exams
- How to prepare for an exam session?
- What steps of revision should I proceed to?
- How to adapt my revisions to different exams with different formats?
Description
This workshop offers methods and tools to get a great preparation for your exams.
Reviewing implies identifying tasks to do, evaluating the amount of time needed to finish each of them and creating a coherent and realistic planning. Revision methods depend on what the professors want, the course assessment, how good you understand the subject, and your personal goals. Passing an exam implies that you must put strategies in place on how to answer and get points while dodging basic traps.

- Planify and organize your revisions;
- Adapt your revisions to the exam format (question types);
- Anticipate your exam session.
Focus and memorize
- What methods can I use to memorize that much content?
- How to optimize my focus?
- How to split my memorization stages so I can be the most efficient?
Description
Memorization is an active process that implies the assimilation of knowledge, its strengthening into memory and the capacity of using it during exams. Memorization goes beyond basic reading and needs methods that will encourage the constant integration of knowledge. Deep understanding and concentration are mandatory prerequisites for memorizing. This workshop offers methods and tools to optimize your focus and memorization.

- Apply memorization techniques in the long term;
- Check the understanding and the integration of topics.

Each appointment lasts between 45 and 60 minutes. We generally offer between 1 and 3 appointments (more if needed), depending on your need.
