Re-enrollment

Who is concerned?

Who is concerned by the re-enrollment procedure?

Any student who has already been enrolled at UNIGE and wants to come back in another basic or advanced studies program, whether it be in the same faculty/institute/center, or in another one.

  • A "former student" is any person who has already been enrolled at UNIGE (even for a few weeks or a semester) in a basic studies program (bachelor’s or master’s degree, complementary certificate) or in an advanced studies program (PhD, certificate of specialization). These persons have thus already confirmed their enrollment, received their student ID, etc;
  • It also applies to former students at UNIGE who are currently enrolled in another Swiss higher education institution and want to come back to UNIGE.

It also applies to any person who has been exmatriculated because of payment default during the current semester. Check the procedure and deadlines.

Who is not concerned by the re-enrollment procedure?

  • Students in continuing studies programs at UNIGE, including those enrolled in a Master of Advanced Studies program;
  • Post-doctoral students who are not from Europe and who have been enrolled at UNIGE as part of their post-doctoral period;
  • Former exchange students at UNIGE;
  • Former students who came to attend one course or subject at UNIGE while being enrolled in another Swiss higher education institution.

In those cases, an enrollment application as a new student must be sent within the deadlines.
