Fall semester deadlines

You are studying in the Spring semester prior to the start of the Fall semester

• You must submit your request for a change of faculty/institute/center or enrollment in a 2^nd faculty between January 15 and July 31.
• No request for a change of faculty/institute/center or enrollment in a 2^nd faculty for the chosen semester can be submitted after the deadline (except in the following case).
• Important: some faculties have a specific deadline or additional procedure. See the list "Specific deadlines and additional procedures". If you do not meet these deadlines or if your application is rejected, we will not process your application for a change of faculty/institute/center or enrollment in a 2^nd faculty.

You are taking exams in the session of August or September and you want to start a Bachelor-level degree (including a bridge to the Faculty of Law)

• You must submit your request for a change of faculty/institute/center or enrollment in a 2^nd faculty as early as the week before the start of the academic year and no later than two weeks after the start of the academic year (= Sunday of week 39).
• Your request must be sent with your grade transcript for the August/September session, or it will not be processed (the transcript available on your UNIGE portal is enough to begin with).
• No request for a change of faculty/institute/center or enrollment in a 2^nd faculty for the chosen semester can be submitted after the deadline.
• Important: some faculties have a specific deadline or additional procedure. See the list "Specific deadlines and additional procedures". If you do not meet these deadlines or if your application is rejected, we will not process your application for a change of faculty/institute/center.

You are taking exams in the session of August or September and you want to start a Master-level degree or a Complementary Certificate

• You must submit your request for a change of faculty/institute/center or enrollment in a 2^nd faculty between January 15 and July 31, even if you plan on getting your Bachelor in September.
• If your admission is subject to the successful completion of your current degree, the faculty change will hapen when your faculty registers that you have passed your degree. If you fail your current degree, you will not be able to change faculty.
• No request for a change of faculty/institute/center or enrollment in a 2^nd faculty for the chosen semester can be submitted after the deadline.
• Important: some faculties have a specific deadline or additional procedure. See the list "Specific deadlines and additional procedures". If you do not meet these deadlines or if your application is rejected, we will not process your application for a change of faculty/institute/center.

You are starting your studies at UNIGE as a first-year bachelor student, without prior higher education (universtiy, HES), and you have been admitted without special conditions and with no limitation to one faculty/institute/center

Before the start of the academic year

You must report your change in person at your enrollment confirmation appointment.

After the start of the academic year

You can request a change during the first two weeks after the start of the academic year, until Sundy of week 39.
