Bachelor’s degree equivalence form

Some programs and faculties/institutes allow you to obtain equivalence for a bachelor's degree to make use of previous university experience.

You must request it when applying for re-enrollment or for a change of faculty (except for FPSE, see below), by completing the following form and attaching the required documents:

Important: the documents required for both the application for equivalence and the application for re-enrollment or change of faculty need to be attached only once.

Faculty-specific details

  • You cannot get an equivalence for the Bachelor of Arts in Multilingual Communication from the Faculty of Translation and Interpreting (FTI);
  • For bachelor's degrees from the Faculty of Psychology and Sciences of Education (FPSE), you can only request equivalences in the first three weeks of the new academic year to the the academic advisors;
  • For the Bachelor of Arts in International Relations (BARI) at the Global Studies Institute (GSI), see the BARI study regulations.
  • For the Faculty of Law: you do not need to give descriptions of previously completed courses.

Caution

  • The Admissions Office reserves the right to request any additional information required to process an application, or to refuse to process an excessively incomplete application. In both cases, you will be informed by e-mail.
  • Any omission or submission of false or falsified documents may lead to definitive refusal of admission, or exclusion from UNIGE.
