Verification and authentication

You can request a verification or authentication of an academic title or certificate obtained at UNIGE, or a verification of a study program at UNIGE. Employers, or other universities, can request these documents.

Submit your request to the Bureau des diplômes via the Admissions Office online platform and attach:

• a copy of the document to authenticate/verify,
• a written authorization from the person concerned,
• a copy of the ID from the person concerned.

Important: all diplomas, semester or exmatriculation certificates issued by UNIGE have a security number at the bottom of the page. This number helps to verifiy the authenticity of the document.

Graduates' list and archive

• Graduated after 1999: you appear on the graduates's list online, except if you request not to,
• Graduated before 1999: you appear on the University Archive (FR).
