For any verification or authentication of an academic title or certificate obtained at UNIGE, or a verification of a basic/advanced studies program followed at UNIGE (requested by an employer or another university, for instance):

1. Please contact the Secrétariat des diplômes via the online platform;
2. Attach a copy of the document to authenticate, as well as a written request from the person authorizing a verification and a copy of their ID.

All diplomas, semester certificates and exmatriculation certificates have a security number at the bottom of the page. This number helps to verify the authenticity of the document and the information on it.

List of graduates and archives of graduates since 1891 available online

• The graduates from UNIGE since 1999 are shown in the online list of graduates (FR), unless they have explicitly asked otherwise;
• Older diplomas, from 1891 onwards, are shown in the University archives (FR), also available online.
